Since June 2019, when LEGO announced the release of the Minions lego sets, all of us have been waiting for the occurrence of this event. Finally, we can take a peek into the 5 sets of Gru’s yellow workers that have been released.
Anyhow, they will be available on April 27th, before the premiere of the film “Minions: Rise of Gru” in July.
Specifications for the Sets
All five sets are based on the upcoming movie, yet each of them greatly varies in the details. The piece count for the sets ranges from 87 to 876 pieces.
One of the sets is a larger scale, whereas the other four are minified ones. In addition, you can find the details for each set. Spoiler alert: They are extremely adorable!
Minions in Gru’s Lab (87 pieces)
The fact that the Minions played a huge role in transforming Gru ‘s basement into his current laboratory style is well-known to each Minion fan.
However, now it’s time to have fun! This toy set allows fans to recreate scenes from the Minions movies.
Once the model in this minions lego set is built, you can use Kevin and Otto toy figures to role playtest out a vehicle on the slide into the bananas.
Minion Pilot in Training (119 pieces)
The pilot in this set is Stuart accompanied by his flight attendant Bob. Their ultimate mission is to save their master Gru.
The daring rescue becomes fun when the two of them confront a whole lot of cargo: a banana, a hot dog and the fart blaster. Who knows? An accident-prone Minion may even fall into the toilet!
Unstoppable Bike Chase (136 pieces)
The minions and Gru are united and determined to protect the zodiac stone. However, they must be speedy and outsmart the villains who want the stone back. But how can the Minions help?
Use them to help upfront of the bike, give them a banana treat or pull them alongside using the extraordinary rocket skates.
Minions Kung Fu Battle (310 pieces)
Based on certain things that happened in the movie Minions: The Rise of Gru, this toy set allows users to follow the minions at the LEGO Minions Kung Fu Battle.
More specifically, the Minions start by practicing certain kung fu poses and moves first and eventually start parading with the Chinese dragon.
Interesting features are the fireworks at the top of the temple and the dramatic appearance of Otto outside the main temple location.
Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair (876 pieces)
Unlike the standard tiny Minion models, this Lego set consists of two gigantic figures. It is quite flexible and appropriate for creative Minion fans. It allows each individual to build their favorite character: Kevin, Stuart or Bob.
Once the minions’ lego set is assembled, you can feature the playsets build in the backsides of the characters – build inventions with Kevin, let Stuart take a well deserved rest or explore kung fu with Bob.
All in all, each of the sets recreates a different scene for the Minion fans. Reviewing the characteristics of the yellow fellows’ sets may even initiate a desire for something you didn’t know you needed.
